Thy(Not So) Faithful Servant

~ Lyrics ~

Although I was born a saint

Sometimes I fall away

Because I cannot become the thing’s I hate

And though I should ask for repentance

I never strayed from Christ’s message

I just have some questions

Preacher preacher

At the steeple

Preacher preacher

Teach your people

Preacher preacher

Run from evil

Preacher preacher

Am I a devil

Cause your people don’t really like me

And I don’t stand for all the right things

And I don’t pray with the white sheep

Brought me by the water to drink

But I fell in and lost my peace

I lost my way am I deceased

So I ceased to feast release the beast

Give my money to holy men and the monasteries

See, you do your job and that’s great but

If you weren’t paid you’d be the same cause

All your people seem to hate blood

And I admit that I been cut

Wash me white as snow but you bleed on me

How can I bare fruit if you cut the tree

Fuel the fire for your sermon’s heat

Preaching to the choir message on repeat

Down to the wire so please tell me

Must I burn to make you complete

Give you my salary so you can eat

When you make it to heaven don’t forget about me

When you leave for heaven

Don’t you dare go without me

This is a sinner’s sermon

Thy not so faithful servant

I’m just a burden

Covered in sin to burn to men

I must be worthless

I am filled with curses

Only know rap verses

And I never listen to worship

Lord forgive my sin’s

If I do it all again

Praying Lord forgive this sin’s

Of your not-so faithful servant

This isn’t blasphemy... this is simply the fight of continuity. We are continually..

Supposed to love

But we turn to hate

Preach against drugs

And then medicate

Not our place to judge

But we raised the case

But the truth is we’re just your weights

Pick us up just to make yourself look better

As you stand on our mistakes

Outside of church where’s your grace

I bet we both sin everyday

Fake

Put money in the pastor’s hand

But don’t look at a homeless man

Guess if Gods my father I’m too good for him

Must be punishment for his sin

So let him go and let him die

Drink God’s blood and eat his rye

If Jesus spoke with sinners and even fed them all dinner

How do you look in God’s eyes

Call it the holy way gays can’t make it cause the path is straight

Wait! Do you believe in fate?

If Satan’s a lion look at your mane

If sin is dirty I can see your stains

Under your dress clothes is a broken frame

Call it a saint, I can be replaced

Supposed to love but we turn with hate

Fancy clothes but hate gold chains

Cultures aren’t symbols of rebellion

Although some rebel

This is a sinner’s sermon

Thy not so faithful servant

I’m just a burden

Covered in sin to burn to men

I must be worthless

I am filled with curses

Only know rap verses

And I never listen to worship

Lord forgive my sin’s

If I do it all again

Praying Lord forgive this sin’s

Of thy not-so faithful servant

This isn’t a lash out to Christ, this is a deluded repentance to do what’s right

You wanna preach the word

You wanna reach the world

But you’re afraid of the world

So you hide from the world

What in the world are you even doing

You never turned the other cheek you just turned away when I’m ruined

Pray to God but I hear a wall

Does he hear me now or was it my last fall

My burdens are just burdens unless it’s Sunday

God’ll free me one day

Learn and pray

Read your Bible and you’ll grow grow grow

Jesus loves me this I know

But people never showed me so

So I shrink shrink shrink and then let go

Preacher preacher

At the steeple

Preacher preacher

teach your people

Preacher preacher

You’re so see through

Preacher preacher

Who’s evil?

I will always follow in the way’s of Christ

But I will not use twisted texts as a way to hold my vice

See God and I have a relationship

But I will not condone the motives of a hypocrite

What you don’t understand isn’t always demonic

And what you fear isn’t always evil

I will now recede back into acceptance

And fit the mold of all you people

Shalom, Peace be with you.
